About
Vicki Tofts
Creator of Sarasvati Music School
Vicki is passionate about music and it’s theraputic qualities. She is a professional flautist and music teacher and is thrilled to be able to share her love of music with others.
Whilst working as a music teacher in schools, Vicki has exprienced first hand how, due to lack of funding, specialist music is slowly being eliminated from the curriculum, particularly with regards to special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) music education. This inspired her to start up her own school, where she could focus on providing inclusive music education for neurodiverse students, and musical wellbeing groups for teenagers and adults. She is currently taking a PGCert in music education for children and adults with additional needs with Roehampton University and Sounds of Intent. This is so that she can continue to broaden her experience and to explore this subject with other specialists.
Vicki has a degree and postgraduate in music, and a diploma in sound therapy. She has experience of working in different settings, from teaching and performing in the military, to running workshops in retreat centres and teaching music in SEN schools.
